Psalm 70
Daily Devotional from Psalm 70—
Verse 4
“May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you! May those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!””
Once again, David is calling out to God for assistance. He’s done all he can do in beseeching the Lord to deliver him from his enemies, without delay. And yet, in the midst of all his despair, he takes time to encourage others to magnify the
God of salvation.
David knows the Lord can deliver and is counting on it; but in his darkest times he doesn’t only focus on his problems but also praises the God who delivers, and encourages others to do the same.
David was a man after God’s own heart. When we are in our deepest, darkest times, let’s not forget to use David as an example and trust and praise Him.
