Psalm 50

Daily Devotional from Psalm 50– 

Verses 14-15
“Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I shall deliver you and you shall glorify me.”

We are called to come to God with thankful hearts, do what we promised him, and call on him when we are in trouble. It means looking for all we have to be thankful for, even in dire circumstances. It means remaining faithful to our word to him, even when it’s hard. The Lord wants us to cry out to him when we face difficulties, with the assurance of faith that he will carry us through. Though we may struggle and stumble, he is there to pick us up. The incredible result is he is glorified. It’s all his doing! What a privilege it is to be loved and accepted by such a merciful Savior!

Matthew 11:28-30 
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
