Daily Devotional from 2 Peter 1—

Verses 19-21
And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus fulfilled so many prophecies and yet there are so many that remain unfulfilled in Scripture but you can be assured that they will be. All prophecy in Scripture will come to pass and I think that’s pretty amazing. God is true to His Word: the things He has promised are going to happen, He will see to it. So be on the lookout and when you see things happen from Scripture joy will spring up like a morning star. Get into the Word and lean into all God has to say. We are so blessed to have been left with a book that reveals God to us.

Now we shouldn’t become prophecy ‘hunters’ but when we really get into God’s Word and get friendly with it, it becomes written in our hearts, shaping all our actions and perceptions in and of the world around us. So be blessed today grab a Bible and dig into God’s Word.
