Psalm 75
Daily Devotional from Psalm 75–
Verses 6-7
“For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.”
I am so glad that judgment is God’s job. It makes loving people so much easier. And it allows us to move into prayer for others instead of dwelling on what we think they deserve.
As Christians, we know that judgment IS coming. God has to deal with evil and injustice. And just like the angel of death passed over those who marked the door with blood in Exodus, judgment passes over us who have been marked by the blood of Jesus.
Jesus is the one who knows who is marked and who isn’t. He is the only judge. So let’s drop the stones in our hands and walk in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control, and faithfulness towards those around us.
