Psalm 23

Daily Devotional from Psalm 23– 

Verse 4
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Have you ever felt like you were walking through the valley of the shadow of death? That’s a pretty intense description, but I’m sure many of us have found ourselves there at some point. In those valleys, peace and comfort often seem far away. However, this verse tells us that we can let the fear and darkness melt away because the Creator of the universe is with us and will protect us from evil. 

I love how this Psalm shows us the powerful side of God. Not only is he gentle and caring–he is also fiercely protective of his children. So if you find yourself in a season of darkness, remember that your Heavenly Father is as close as the whisper of his name. He will fight for you like nobody else can!
