1 Samuel 14

Daily Devotional from 1 Samuel 14—


Verse 7
And his armor-bearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Do as you wish. Behold, I am with you heart and soul.”

I strive to be like this armor bearer. He took his role seriously. It is such a comfort to have people like this in your corner and I hope that I am this for people and I strive to be even more like this for people around me.  Anytime I have someone who I know has my back, I know I can accomplish so much more and it inspires and encourages me to do so. So if you’re reading this today; find people who have got your back and let them get your back, and get their back.

We are the church and Jesus says that we are family; let’s take it serious let’s take the church serious and invest in it, make connections, volunteer, oversee ministries, etc…The Church needs you. There is an African proverb I think it would do us all well to learn and live by, it says: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far go together.”

Be blessed today and remember Jesus doesn’t call us to run alone but to be united to our fellow believers with the common goal of seeking God and spreading the good news of Jesus.
