Judges 14
Daily Devotional from Judges 14—
Verse 6, 9
Then the Spirit of the LORD rushed upon him…
Out of all the things that happened in this chapter, the most remarkable were preceded by the Spirit of the LORD rushing upon Samson. That’s a principle we can take from this chapter–where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is strength, power, and miracles that would not be possible without him. When the Spirit rushed upon Samson, he ripped apart a lion with his bare hands and struck down thirty men by himself! Are you kidding me?! This is what our God is capable of!
Sometimes I find myself living hesitantly, especially when I focus on the opinions and thoughts of the people around me, but I know God desires more. He desires my complete dedication and my all-in YES. If you find yourself also living in hesitation, spend some time with our loving God and ask him to show you what to surrender. He already sees the innermost parts of our hearts, and it brings him joy to help us draw closer to him. When the Spirit of the LORD rushes upon us, are we willing to go all the way?
