Judges 10
Daily Devotional from Judges 10—
Verses 12-14
The Sidonians also, and the Amalekites and the Maonites oppressed you, and you cried out to me, and I saved you out of their hand. 13 Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more. 14 Go and cry out to the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress.”
It’s a scary thought that God could abandon us into the hands of the wicked. God isn’t wrong for doing it either. God’s patience has a limit. Not only that, but He knows what is best for us. You may know some people who are far from the Lord that you really want to see saved, and it seems God has just let evil take its course. It may be more beneficial if people find out their idols and their Gods don’t actually work, but are worthless and dead.
I don’t wish this upon anyone, but God knows best, and many of those lost may come back to faith in Jesus or just come to faith for the first time in Jesus. But the Scriptures have made it clear that not everyone will know the savior. What an honor for us to be privileged to know Him. Let us never take our God for granted but honor and worship Him forever, as we bring more people into a loving relationship with the father. Let us forever only worship the one true God.
