Judges 3
Daily Devotional from Judges 3--
Verse 9
But when the people of Israel cried out to the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for the people of Israel, who saved them…
Israel disobeyed.
God punished using enemies.
Israel cried out to God for help.
God sent a savior (judge) who punished the enemies.
Repeat.
Repeat again.
You would think Israel would have learned their lesson. But how many times have we done the same — not learned the lesson God was trying to teach us? Fortunately, God doesn’t give up on us. He sent the Savior, so that when we fail and repent, He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1John 1: 9).
Lord, help us to learn from our mistakes and not continue to repeat them.
