Deuteronomy 31
Daily Devotional from Deuteronomy 31–
Verse 14
And the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, the days approach when you must die. Call Joshua and present yourselves in the tent of meeting, that I may commission him.”
I love how this passage shows the God-ordained transition of leadership between Moses and Joshua.
Sometimes, it’s easy to forget that we won’t be in the positions we hold forever. There will be transitions in this life due to age, job changes, and death. The legacy we leave and those we invest in will be important for the future. Instead of holding tightly to our positions, let’s look for those that we can pour into and prepare for when we are gone. Let’s look for our Joshua’s! Especially in the Church, look for those younger than you that you can invest in, for the future of the Church.
