Deuteronomy 19
Daily Devotional from Deuteronomy 19–
Verse 15
A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established.
In a way, this law provided protection. Guilt had to be established by two or more witnesses, not just one.
In the same way, God is still providing protection, justice, and even fairness as He watches out for us. His eyes are always on us to show himself strong on our behalf. He has never, nor will he ever, falsely accuse us. And just like He provided cities of refuge for the accused, He offers us a pure and accessible path to forgiveness and justice through the Blood of Jesus.
When we turn to God and just say ‘Yes’, He will do the rest. Accept that protection today. Just say Yes to Jesus.
