Deuteronomy 3
Daily Devotional from Deuteronomy 3–
Verse 22
You shall not fear them, for it is the Lord your God who fights for you.
The children of Israel were at the point of going into the promised land. They were greeted with opposition from powerful kings, great armies, and “cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars…”
To them, they appeared outmanned and ill-prepared. However, the Lord had a supreme view and a plan beyond their might and armament.
You may be facing daunting opposition today from one or many avenues. You may feel inadequate for the challenges and overwhelmed with anxiety. The Lord will do for you as he did for Israel. The Lord fights for you in every circumstance, sometimes in your full view and others behind the scenes or in times yet to come. Let His perfect love cast out your fears (1 John 4:18) and fall at his feet, laying your cares before him (1 Peter 5:7). Do not try to hold them for yourself. This is not his intention for you, beloved. Seek him and you will find freedom and confidence in him (2 Corinthians 3:17-18)!
