Numbers 3
Daily Devotional from Numbers 3—
Verses 11-12
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, "Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the people of Israel instead of every firstborn who opens the womb among the people of Israel. The Levites shall be mine.”
God chose the tribe of the Levites, specifically to minister to Him and to care for and guard all of the components of the tabernacle. They were to protect and teach the laws that God had established and to live in Holiness before God.
Just like the Levites were chosen, God has chosen us not just to live in righteousness before Him, but to reach the lost and teach them about Jesus our Messiah. Paul wrote in Ephesians 1:4 - “even as he chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him.”
Let’s live as the chosen we are, in love both with Jesus and others.
