Leviticus 10
Daily Devotional from Leviticus 10--
Verse 2
And fire came out from before the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.
This is a tragic account from Israel’s history. Violation of our holy God’s clear commands about how to enter into His presence led to the judgment (death) of two of Aaron’s sons.
What should we learn from this account?
Today, God has given us very clear directions through His Scriptures about how to gain restored relationship with Him. We must come to Him on His terms. The only way is through His Son Jesus. (John 14:6)
Those who choose to follow their own path may one day encounter God’s judgment— not only physical, but also spiritual death.
Aren’t you glad you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and find welcoming arms, instead of judgment, in His presence?
