Exodus 29
Daily Devotional from Exodus 29--
Verses 44
I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as priests.
God has established the priesthood here for the Levites. He does this so that there will be a set apart people to usher the Israelites into the presence of God. Today this priesthood is expanded to all believers by the sacrifice of Jesus and the sending of the Holy Spirit. We now have the duty of reminding people of this great and wonderful God.
1 Peter 2:9 says “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
Today it is our task to lead people into God's presence to remind them of a God who shows mercy, who saves. How can you usher people into God’s presence? You are called and chosen for this work! Go today and be blessed as you bless others.
