Exodus 28

Daily Devotional from Exodus 28--

 And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.
- Exodus 28:2

When they go into the tent of meeting…they shall wash with water, so that they may not die. - Exodus 30:20

Have you been tent camping for a few days, exposed to dust and dirt and campfire smoke, or worked in the yard during the hot summer months? Don’t you just love getting a shower and some clean clothes? This is what God wants for us spiritually.

In Old Testament times, priests had to wash and put on consecrated garments before serving the Lord. Today, we are to take off dirty garments, such as lies, anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk. (Col. 3:8-10)

We are to put on clean clothes, such as compassionate hearts, love, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another, forgiving each other. (Col. 3:12-14)

God wants us spiritually fresh and clean - dressed in robes of righteousness. It’s a great feeling!
