Daily Devotional from Revelation 5—
Verse 9
And they sang a new song [of glorious redemption], saying, “Worthy and deserving are You to take the scroll and to break its seals; for You were slain (sacrificed), and with Your blood You purchased people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” AMP
How does it feel to know that we are purchased by the sacrifice of a perfect life? We aren’t worthy of such a sacrifice. How does it feel to know that we are loved at that sacrificial level? We don’t always give that same love in return. We read of His Worth and his Majesty and know that He purchased us to be priests to ministers to Him and to reign on the earth.
Knowing that truth makes us want to join all of Heaven in singing, Worthy is the Lamb. Today, Look Up, Sing to the Lord, “You are worthy,” and rejoice with gratitude in our hearts and with all of Heaven that we are purchased by His blood.
