Zechariah 7-9
Daily Devotional from Zechariah 8--
Verse 23
The Lord of Armies says this: “In those days, ten men from nations of every language will grab the robe of a Jewish man tightly, urging: Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”
One thing that has become increasingly clear to me as I get older is that people are desperate for meaning, purpose, and knowing they are loved and known by God. They may not reveal it (because it is a deeply vulnerable need) but it is deep down inside.
As Christians, the Spirit of God dwells in our midst and our presence can often bring to light this need within the hearts of those around us. It is their way of clinging tightly, knowing that God is with us.
The people around us are desperate for the hope of Jesus. How can we offer his hope to our neighbors who don’t know him today?
