Verse 12
I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my portion of food.

Have you ever been on a fast and dreamily fantasized about what you would have for your next meal? Well, that should remind us of what our soul does every time we fast from the Word of God. We can go days without soul food, or simply feed our minds with spiritual junk food, but there’s a deep craving for the Bread of Life.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matt 4:4). Next time you feel a pang of spiritual hunger don’t ignore it but dream about what your next meal in the Word of God could look like and then go open up the fridge door.
