2 Corinthians 5
Daily Devotional from 2 Corinthians 5--
Verse 18
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
Have you ever been estranged from someone? Whether it was a family member, a friend, or even a spouse—I’m sure it was difficult. Sometimes the estrangement is our own fault, and sometimes it isn’t, but if you were able to reconcile that relationship, I bet it resulted in unexplainable joy.
This is what Christ did for us. Because of sin, we became estranged from God, but because of Jesus our relationship was reconciled! How exciting is it that we have been restored to relationship with our Father in Heaven?! And what’s more, we are to practice the “ministry of reconciliation” by spreading the Good News to those that are still estranged from Jesus—so that they too can celebrate in the joy of reconciliation!
Today, remember the joy that it is to be reconciled with God because of Jesus, and remember to share that joy with someone you know.
