2 Corinthians 3
Daily Devotional from 2 Corinthians 3--
Verses 18
We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.
When Moses spent time in God’s presence on Mt. Sinai, he had to cover his face because he reflected the glory of God so much that the Israelites physically couldn’t stand to look upon it. Paul is referencing this story, and connecting it to us as people transformed by Christ! We do not have to cover our face, we don’t have to cover our faith, because our very life reflects the glory of God into the world!
When we look at our reflection— we need to see ourselves as God’s workmanship, his glory revealed into the world because we have been renewed, redeemed, and remade into the image of Christ. God is at work in you and as Paul says in Philippians 1:6 “I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
