Romans 6
Daily Devotional from Romans 6--
Verse 22
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.
Typically being a slave to anything is very negative, but being a slave to God is an honor! We are willing slaves. We actually want to obey God’s every command. When sin had us, it was horrible and we were bound and stuck, spiritually dead. But God gives us new life and he sanctifies us - we have a different source constantly molding us into Christ’s image and preparing us for the weight of glory! That’s what’s awaiting us; glory and eternal life with Jesus.
Our God redefines us and repairs all things, so let’s continue in faith with joy when we think of who our Master is that we serve: the God who made heaven and earth, the God who is just, kind, compassionate, and merciful. Lean in today to the Holy Spirit, ask how you can serve Him today and seek an opportunity to partner with the Holy Spirit.
