Luke 16
Daily Devotional from Luke 16--
Verse 31
If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.
What a stunning statement.
With this parable, Jesus basically says—
You can have signs from heaven, but signs won’t save you.
You can have miracles from God, but miracles won’t save you.
You can even have the Scriptures, but the Scriptures won’t save you, unless you HEAR them.
Faith comes by hearing. Faith doesn’t come by miracles. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. It’s not enough to know the Bible. You've got to hear and respond to what it says.
