Mark 4
Daily Devotional from Mark 4--
Verse 22
For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light.
We all hide things from the world—secrets that might destroy us if they came to light. We see it often with prominent leaders in the news—the sin they hid is dragged out for the world to see.
Jesus promised that all will be found out.
This is why confession of sin is so important for Christians. When we confess our sins to each other and to God, we bring it out in the open, and it can no longer be used against us.
Even more importantly, our image is no longer what we present to the world, but what God declares us to be—clean and whole. Righteous. A child of God. A co-heir with Christ.
If you’re hiding something, bring it to light. Talk with a trusted friend. Pray it out. Trust that God has already forgiven you and calls you clean through faith in what Jesus has done.
