Isaiah 59-60
Daily Devotional from Isaiah 60--
Verse 1
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
Isaiah is speaking to the nation of Israel in this verse, but it can easily be applied to the church. We are no longer walking in the darkness of trying – and failing – to follow the law, because Jesus our Light has come and redeemed us! And now our job is to shine His light to the world around us – to live love and forgiveness. We are his church, his bride, and we should walk in the knowledge that we are his chosen people, staying ready for his return!
