Revelation 3:15-16
You are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold of hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
Most people like their tea hot, and their beverage chilled with ice. Not many people take their drink lukewarm. And that would include Jesus.
Therefore, this is a call to refuse mediocrity. If you’re going to be something… be it. If you’re going to do something… do it. Don’t try to be everything to everybody. That will just produce lukewarmness. We weren’t put on this world to blend in or be typical. Rather, listen to the direction Jesus gives you, maintain the temperature, and stay the course.
