Psalm 83

Daily Devotional from Psalm 83–

Verses 2b-3a
“… those who hate you have raised their heads, they lay crafty plans against your people…”

Asaph expresses his indignation at the enemies of God. He calls upon Him to exact retribution on them. How dare they come against the Lord and his people?

The enemy of our souls is no different today, but look how the Lord deals with such arrogant plots and plans. They become no more than whirling dust and chaff blown in the wind. We need not fear, no matter how ominous our foe may appear. We can trust in God, who comes with force like fire and tempest and hurricane to thwart the enemy!

Romans 8:31b “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
(See Romans 8:31-39)
