Verse 12
But he took his stand in the midst of the plot and defended it and struck down the Philistines, and the Lord worked a great victory.
I love this image of one man defending the plot of land God had given him against attackers. Because he took his stand and fought the enemy, THE LORD brought him victory! We may not have to defend our land against enemy attackers today, but we have much greater valuables that we must defend against the spiritual attack of the enemy of our souls!
What has God given to you to steward and shepherd? Your health and well-being…Your Joy…Purity… Time…Your Faith…all must be watched over and protected from the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy. And these things are stolen in sneaky ways, like by distraction, busyness, noise, doom scrolling, laziness and apathy.
Take a stand in the midst of YOUR plot - daily! Commit to striking down those thieves, and watch the Lord work a great victory in YOUR life!
