1 Samuel 3
Daily Devotional from 1 Samuel 3--
Verse 10 NLT
And the LORD came and called as before, “Samuel! Samuel!”
And Samuel replied, “Speak, your servant is listening.”
The Lord called 4 times before Samuel answered and I think the Lord does that to us when we don’t recognize it’s Him, He keeps on calling. Has the Lord put anything heavy on your heart? Has He been calling your name and have you been simply lying back down?
The good thing is God is gracious and He gives us opportunities to answer, He continues to call. It’s interesting that as a young boy Samuel was called and soon after this He was recognized and established as a prophet of the LORD. You see that Samuel grows to learn God’s voice quite well. And I believe we can do the same.
