Daily Devotional from Ruth 3—


Verse 11
And now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you all that you ask, for all my fellow townsmen know that you are a worthy woman.


I like that Boaz took the time to acknowledge this, and it shows just what kind of person Ruth was. We too, should be a people who are respected by others for the honorable way we live. 1 Peter 2:12 says, ‘Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.’


When we live God’s way, it can’t be denied by others, at least not with intellectual integrity. Our actions have weight, and they affect the people around us. When we live upright, it opens the door to share the gospel, and it adds validity to it. People will listen to someone in whom they see the light of God. So let’s make an impact and let’s be recognized as worthy people in our jobs, schools, around town, let us influence and change our city through the power of God.
