Numbers 17
Daily Devotional from Numbers 17—
Verse 8
On the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony, and behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds.
Imagine that! A staff of dead wood miraculously coming to life, forming buds, then blossoms, then ripe almonds — the dead brought to life — confirming the priesthood of Aaron.
This is what the resurrection of Christ does for us. It confirms that Jesus was the answer to the sin problem. After Jesus died on the cross for our sin, the Father confirmed His sacrifice for our sins was acceptable by taking the dead body of Jesus and raising it to life again. His victory over death supports our belief in His promise that we will one day, like Him, be raised from the dead to join Him in heaven.
Thank you gracious Father for the evidence You provide to support our faith!
