Daily Devotional from Joshua 1—
Verse 9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
We all deal with feelings of nervousness, fear, anxiety, or weakness at times. Sometimes, even a God-given task seems too overwhelming. In those times, sit down and read Joshua chapter 1. Insert your name at the beginning of each “be strong and courageous”. Know that in your weakness, God is strong, and that courage isn’t always a feeling but a commitment to do what needs to be done even in the face of great opposition, or great fear. He will not leave you or forsake you (v. 5), He is with you wherever you go (v. 9). Be strong and courageous today!
