Deuteronomy 28-29

Daily Devotional from Deuteronomy 28--

Verse 10
And all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.

Now I don’t think we want people to be afraid of us, but there is something people should see when they encounter believers, something holy. We have the Holy Spirit inside of us. When we are in a room God is there too. If you are in a workplace where no one else believes, you’re that lamp in the dark room. You can’t be in a room and not know there is a light on.

You are a beacon of truth, a lighthouse for ships lost at sea. When people don’t know, they are curious: where did the light come from? What’s the source? We know that it comes from the LORD. He is our source, our power outlet.  Let the people know that you are called by the name of the LORD. Deep down they already see it and know.
