Esther 4
Daily Devotional from Esther 4--
Verse 14 and 16b
“‘For if you keep silent at this time, …you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?’...‘Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.’”
Esther was in a position to act for the Jews. Though unlawful to enter his courts, Esther heeded Mordecai’s warning, called the Jews to a fast, and went to the king. She valiantly put her life on the line for her people, trusting the Lord.
We have been put where we are by the Lord. Let us look at ourselves. Where and with whom does the Lord want us to lay down our lives? Let’s ask the Lord to show us what to do and when to do it. Let’s be bold, knowing the result is in the Lord's hands. May we listen to the Lord’s promptings and move in the Holy Spirit. We can expect miraculous things from our great and mighty God!
