Daily Devotional from 1 Samuel 28--
Verse 15
Then Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul answered, “I am in great distress, for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams. Therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do.”
Saul continued to disobey God. He wouldn’t give up his position when it was his time. And he became so desperate that he turned to forbidden necromancy.
When we take matters into our own hands, things rarely go well. We get desperate and turn to things that will only bring us more despair.
Today, if there’s something you’re not listening to the Lord about, or there’s a situation you haven’t brought before Him—surrender. Give it to Jesus and trust in Him.
