Daily Devotional from Joshua 23—
Verse 14
And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.
As I was reading this passage, it brought to mind the last conversation I had with my grandpa before he passed. He knew he wasn’t long for this world, and he took the time to let me know how much he loves me, share his wisdom, and remind me of the faithfulness of God. I see in Joshua’s writing how he’s reflecting and reminding the Israelites of how God has seen them through.
Sometimes in the moment, it’s hard to see where God is, but that’s why reflection is so important. It is important to remember where God has met us and seen us through. I’ve even written down some memories to look back on and encourage myself.
Take some time today to remember how God has been faithful to you.
