Deuteronomy 11

Daily Devotional from Deuteronomy 11

Verses 18-20

You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates…

I believe this is how we are to treasure and treat God’s Word. His Word should be on the tips of our tongues. We need to be constantly fed by the Word of God to do life well and be connected to the Lord. When we live in God’s Word, we teach the youth to do the same, and our church experiences more life. We have to lead by example and believe that there is power in the Word. God says in Isaiah 55:11 that His word shall not return empty, and it will accomplish His purpose.

Let’s be people who constantly speak and think on God’s Word. Let us know it, believe it, live it, and love it. Spend some time today digging into God’s Word.
