Numbers 12
Daily Devotional from Numbers 12—
Verses 6-8a
And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the LORD.”
I love reading Bible stories. The Old Testament prophets are always inspiring to me. God is explaining here how clearly he talks to Moses, and I hope that when we read this, we know how clearly God speaks to us, if we lean in, trust him, and get to know his voice. Moses was special in one sense: he wrote the first 5 books of the Bible! However, in another sense, he was not special, Moses was just like you and me.
God is always looking for people who will listen and obey. God will do things in your life you can’t even imagine if you just trust him and say yes. First, know that God speaks clearly; in fact, we have more access to God than Moses did! God now takes up residence in believers.
If you just listen and obey, you will indeed see the glory of God. Seek Him above all else today!
