Daily Devotional from Numbers 4--
Verse 20
But they shall not go in to look on the holy things even for a moment, lest they die.
To think the priests couldn’t even look past the veil, no looking, no touching or else they would die. We see later in 2 Samuel 6:6-11 Uzzah is struck dead when he tried to save the ark from falling when the oxen stumbled. But there is good news! It’s not like this anymore. The moment Jesus took His last breath on the cross the veil was torn and the holy things were exposed. We now have access, all of us who believe, to the holy things of God.
So let’s take advantage of this access and press into the Holy of Holies, looking into the things the people longed to see before.
