Genesis 37
Daily Devotional from Genesis 37--
Verses 27-28
“Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him. Then Midianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt.
What a crazy day for Joseph! Not only thrown in the pit but sold into slavery too! By his brothers no less. All because they were mad at Joseph’s dreams. It’s a testament to Joseph’s character that he kept believing, even while in a pit and when being sold into slavery.
God may have given you a vision of something He wants to do. But He is not likely to tell you what all you will have to go through as He brings the vision to reality. When God gives you a dream regardless of how big or crazy it sounds, if it is indeed from the Lord, believe it! He is going to bring about great things. What has God told you He wants to accomplish through you? What has God told you that maybe you have lost sight of? Bring it back to mind, believe, and don’t lose hold of God or His promises no matter how rough the path may be.
