Verse 2
Watch out for the dogs, watch out for the evil workers, watch out for those who mutilate the flesh.
Due to the very nature of our technological world, we have access to so much information and teaching about Jesus. We have access to sermons and teachers all over the world at the push of a button. It is really crazy.
Because of the ease of access, false teachers and those who preach false gospels are rampant and we can easily fall prey to their schemes.
1 Peter 5:8 warns that we need to be vigilant and watch out because the Devil walks around like a lion seeking who he can devour. And in our day and age, he will devour through teaching that sounds good and right on the surface but will destroy our soul when it comes time.
Test everything you hear against the scriptures. Talk about it with trusted friends and mentors. Watch out for those who are in it for their own gain at the expense of your soul.
