Verse 25

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Jesus is our great High Priest forever.

High priests intercede and offer sacrifices for sinful people to a holy God. Unlike human high priests of the Jewish nation, Jesus’s sacrifice was once for all and does not need to be repeated. Unlike human high priests, He lives forever and thus does not need to be replaced - He is always available to intercede for us, asking for mercy and grace in our time of need.

Because of Jesus’s sacrifice of life, our holy Father sees believers as righteous (good, free from guilt), which allows us to have direct, unlimited access to Him through prayer.

Take advantage today of all the benefits of having Jesus as your eternal High Priest!
