Galatians 1

Daily Devotional from Galatians 1--

Verses 11 and 12

For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man's gospel. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

The gospel is not of man and it is important to acknowledge that salvation belongs to God. When we are sharing the Gospel it is up to God to reveal Himself to people. Our part is to trust that He will do so. This leaves all glory to God, if we know that we are powerless to save a soul.

This knowledge does not stop us from preaching, as Paul talks about the gospel he preached.  We are but messengers with the hope of bringing someone to the knowledge of Jesus. We still need to get the Word out, but let the results be in God’s hands; trust Him and pray He will reveal Himself to people around you.
