Zephaniah
Daily Devotional from Zephaniah 3--
Verse 17
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
After chapters of casting judgment, God promises to restore Israel. His desire in the end is that they would seek Him and love Him the same way that He loves and seeks them.
God is calling out to each of us, asking us to follow Him. And the beauty of that is He made a way for us to be fully restored to Him through His Son, Jesus. We don’t have to be bound to the Law—because none of us are good enough to execute it—but Jesus fulfills the Law as the perfect sacrifice.
Let’s rejoice this Christmas season in all that Jesus has done to restore us to the Father.
