The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the foremost.
If you know you’re a failure—good news, Jesus came for you! However, if you’ve got it all put together and abide perfectly by the rules—Jesus passes you by. Cause you don’t need any help.
So, what will it be? Are you going to be self-sufficient or are you going to admit your weakness? Even announce it to the world? That’s what Paul did. He says, “I’m the worst of the worst!” But, you see, if you’re at the bottom of the list, it’ll put you at the front of the line. Because only those who really need help seem to recognize it when it arrives.
