Acts 9

Daily Devotional from Acts 9—

Verse 21
And all who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”

This is an important lesson for us in at least two ways:

1. We should not try to limit what God can do in anyone’s life. Sometimes the people who seem the farthest from accepting Christ are just wading on the edge of the Kingdom of God.

2. Sometimes people are going to see us change and it’s going to be hard for them to believe because they saw how we acted before, they’ve seen us living in sin.
What is important here is that someone is called by God, regardless of what Paul used to be like, he was called by God and he was used mightily for the Kingdom. Jesus washed his past away and gave him new life! You also are called by God. Don’t let the labels people put on you define how you live; walk in the fullness of God and live His call for your life!
