Luke 20
Daily Devotional from Luke 20—
Verse 26
And they were not able in the presence of the people to catch him in what he said, but marveling at his answer they became silent.
The scribes were trying to trap Jesus. They hoped that His answer would be enough to give Him up to the governor to be punished. But even they marveled at His wisdom. Throughout Luke 10 we see those jealous and offended by Jesus try to trap Him in His words, but they all fail.
Jesus is the wisest human to walk the earth, because He was both God and man. And He offers His wisdom to us through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and other believers—so that when needed, we can respond to others out of a wisdom that only comes from God.
Jesus is so wise; let’s remember that we can trust Him wherever He may lead us today.
