Luke 9

Daily Devotional from Luke 9—

Verse 20
Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

The world has many things to say about Jesus. That He was a prophet, a good guy, a good teacher, a lunatic, a liar, some even say He never lived. If we are saved, we know Jesus is the Messiah, the Savior of the World – and so much more. Matthew 16:16 describes the same conversation, but in this passage Jesus says, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.”

If you know that Jesus is the Christ, that He is God, it’s because God revealed this to you. Praise God that He reveals Himself to us because we couldn't figure it out on our own. And if you have not yet decided for yourself who Jesus is, don’t wait, pray even if it’s uncomfortable, ask God to reveal Himself to you. If you seek God with all your heart, He will show up.
