Psalm 5

Daily Devotional from Psalm 5–

Verse 7
But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you.

John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” It was through the abundance of his steadfast love that we are able to enter into his presence. The moment that Jesus died, the temple curtain was torn into two (Mark 15:37-38), signifying that all people now had access to God’s presence through the sacrifice of Jesus.

Jesus said that there will be a day when people will not worship in the temple, but in the Spirit and truth (John 4:23-24), and let today be the day we bow down and worship the Father in the Spirit in holy fear of him.
What does that look like for you? Does it look like clearing out a closet space to make yourself a prayer space? Does it look like prayer walks? Does it look like inviting friends over to pray together? How does the abundant love of God lead you to worship? What may need to change in your life because of it?
