Daily Devotional from 2 Kings 6—
Verse 16
He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
It is easy to focus on the difficulties we see firsthand in life. Not enough money in the bank to pay bills. A calendar full of doctor’s appointments. Strained relationships. Overwhelming feelings like anxiety or insomnia that steal your days and your joy…How do we get through it?
Look up. Look to God who is your provider, protector, sustainer, healer and deliverer. Look around. You are surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ who count it an honor to pray with you and stand by you. Look beyond. Problems of this world are just that. They belong to this world. Remember that you do not. You have angels fighting for you, and an eternal spiritual inheritance. Take comfort in truth - don't listen to the lies of the enemy - and have faith.
